Jamie Mackie celebrates his goal against Preston North End

Jamie Mackie’s curler against Preston North End has been voted by fans as the best goal of The FA Cup Fourth Round.

The Nottingham Forest forward scored the first in a 2-0 replay victory for the Tricky Trees at Deepdale earlier this month.

Mackie played a one-two before side-footing the ball into the top corner from the edge of the area 18 minutes into the match.

Goal of the Fourth Round results

Jamie Mackie, Preston v NOTTM FOREST 57%

Oscar, CHELSEA v Stoke 23%

Matt Fryatt, Southend Utd v HULL 16%

Michael Rose, ROCHDALE v Sheffield Wed 2%

Sergio Aguero, MAN CITY v Watford 1%

Victor Moses, Bournemouth v LIVERPOOL 1%

The victory set up a Fifth Round trip to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United.

Mackie’s goal was the clear winner of the Goal of the Round, receiving 57% of the votes. It was double the amount of votes Oscar received for his free-kick for Chelsea against Stoke City.
