A prolific season for Notts County earned Jess Clarke a recall to the England squad.

The 25-year-old scored 15 goals in 22 games for the ‘Lady Pies’ in all competitions last season, catching Mark Sampson’s eye enough to bring her back into the fold for three successive World Cup qualifiers.

She made her return by replacing two-goal Eniola Aluko in the 4-0 win over Ukraine in May.

Clarke then came on for Natasha Dowie in the 3-0 win over Belarus in Minsk before emerging from the bench five days later, once again in place of Aluko, in the 2-1 defeat of Ukraine in Lviv.
