England U17s Head Coach John Peacock
Head coach John Peacock refused to be too disappointed after his youngsters surrendered a lead to draw with Czech Republic.

Kaylen Hinds had given England U17s a first-half advantage, before the visitors drew level with nine minutes to go through Jiri Miker.

"I'm a bit disappointed we didn't take the three points, but I thought the lads did everything we asked them too," Peacock told TheFA.com.

"But I have to give credit to the Czech's though, they made life very difficult."

Peacock's youngsters enjoyed plenty of the ball at Aggborough Stadium, and despite only a draw to show for their efforts, he was pleased with his side's performance.

"I thought we were excellent in the first-half," he added. "They are all trustworthy with a football at their feet, they all want to handle the ball and play when they can play."

England face Portugal next on Friday evening at Chesterfield, and the boss knows another hard game awaits.

"It's another tough game, but that's why we picked strong opposition like we always have done," he said.

"It's a real tough test for the lads and it will be a challenge in how they come up with the answers to the problems they'll face."
