England Under-16s suffered frustration in their opening match of the Montaigu Tournament, losing 2-0 to Saudi Arabia.

Hot off the back of victories over Denmark and Belgium at St. George's Park in February, Kenny Swain's Young Lions were hoping to get off to a winning start in Mareuil Sur Lay - but it was not to be.

Saudi Arabia opened the scoring on 19 minutes and seven minutes later they had doubled their lead.

Swain tried to turn the tide by making three changes at half-time, and a further two on 63 minutes, but the second half ended goalless.
