The number 13 may be unlucky for some, but Cambridge City boss Gary Roberts is hoping Lady Luck will be shining on him and his charges when they take on Scarborough Athletic in the Second Round Qualifying of The FA Trophy on Saturday.
Roberts is in his 13th season in the dugout at Cambridge, but he is yet to guide his side beyond the Third Round Proper in the competition during that time.
The closest his side came to advancing beyond that stage occurred in 2006, when a 91st-minute winner for Exeter City allowed them to progress at Cambridge's expense.
Cambridge will now look to see off Scarborough Athletic for a place in the next round and Johnson feels drawing a tie away from home may prove to be a blessing for his players.
He said: "We have always played a counter-attacking game and that is well suited to playing away. That's the secret of it. I think that is the way we will play on Saturday, but that said, I don't want to be sitting back and taking loads of pressure off them.
"The four-hour journey doesn't help before the game but apart from that they will be a hard team to play. They have Gary Bradshaw and Tony Hackworth, who have played League football, so I'm not underestimating them at all."
The FA Trophy offers the chance for non-League teams to play at Wembley and Johnson admits it would be like a fairytale if his side ended up under the famous Arch next year.
He added: "It's a fairytale really. We just need to get the win with the finances which are available, that's the main objective in the early rounds."
Adam Marriott has been in scintillating form for Cambridge this term, striking eight times in the league and Roberts knows the fate of his side in The Trophy will rest heavily upon his star striker.
He said: "I think he is very important to a good Trophy run, he has got an obvious talent and long may it continue."
