England slipped to a narrow defeat against Norway as a weekend of training camps came to an end at St. George’s Park.

Mo Marley called up two separate squads over a six-day period, allowing her to assess 42 players in total and each squad’s camp culminated in a friendly against Norway.

A Hannah Dale goal handed the Young Lions a 1-0 win on Sunday, but the Scandinavians regrouped and came out on top in the second encounter, scoring either side of Katie Zelem’s 53rd-minute goal.

Head Coach Marley is preparing this age group for another big year. Last season’s silver medal at the European Championship earned her side a place at the 2014 U20 World Cup in Canada, while they will again aim to qualify for the U19 Euros.
