England U21s observe silence before training

The England Under-21s squad and staff observe a two minute silence at St. George's Park.

England Under-21s had their first training session of the week at St. George's Park on Monday morning - and joined the nation in a two-minute silence on Remembrance Day.

Gareth Southgate's squad reported to their base on Sunday evening, ahead of their double-header against Finland and San Marino over the next eight days.

And after warming up in the indoor facility, the whole group observed the two-minute silence in memory of British and Commonwealth servicemen and ladies who have died in their line of duty over the years.

It was then outside onto the training pitch to continue the session, when the squad worked together in a team exercise on a damp morning in the Midlands.

The players who had started in games for their clubs at the weekend then left the pitch, allowing the remainder of the squad to work on attacking and defending with each other.

England face Finland in Milton Keynes on Thursday night, before San Marino are the visitors to Shrewsbury's Greenhous Meadow on Tuesday 19 November. Tickets are still available for both games, so click here for more details.
