Switzerland
Köbi Kuhn's Switzerland emerged as surprise winners of qualifying Group 10 and will hope they can carry on their good form come the summer.
Having missed out on all three international tournaments since Euro 96, Switzerland put their past troubles behind them by qualifying for only their second appearance at a European Championships.
They finished top of a tough qualifying group that included Rep of Ireland and Russia thanks to a 2-0 win over Brian Kerr’s side in the final game of the group.
Coach Köbi Kuhn has fashioned a creative, attractive side which, inspired by the veteran Stephane Chapuisat, could spring a surprise or two at Euro 2004.
