Swiss defender Stéphane Henchoz plays against Damien Duff in the qualifying round.
Stéphane Henchoz
Tuesday, 27 April 2004.
Liverpool supporters will have become accustomed to the solid defending of Henchoz, although he is often used at full-back for his country rather than the central role he is used to in the Premiership.
Henchoz has a great ability to read the game and his positional play has helped him become recognised as one of Europe's toughest defenders.
He combination of skill on the ground as well as ability in the air make him a tough opponent for any attacker.
Having made over 60 appearances for his country Henchoz will expect to play a key role in Portugal and make up for lost time after a calf injury limited his opportunities in the qualification stages.
