Switzerland's now-legendary striker Stéphane Chapuisat

Tuesday, 27 April 2004.
An impressive international goalscoring record is enough to back up the hero status which Chapuisat has gained across Switzerland.
His powerful shooting and precise finishing have helped him to score more than 20 times ahead of Euro 2004, and no doubt he will be looking to boost his statistics in Portugal.
Chapuisat will be 35 years old by the time the tournament gets underway, but he will not let age stand in his way as he attempts to help the Swiss through to the later stages.
His experience will prove invaluable as he can call on previous experience as far back as qualifying games for the World Cup in 1990.
Chapuisat previously retired in 2001 following a dispute, but will be keen to make a big impact this time around.
