A goal from Arsenal's Gilly Flaherty was enough to see England make a winning end to their participation in the La Manga Tournament.
Having lost to Italy on Monday, despite Claire Rafferty getting on the scoresheet for Mo Marley's side, England then faced Sweden on Wednesday where they lost out to a solitary strike from Louise Fors.
Flaherty got England off to a fine start with a goal after just 14 minutes, but there would be no further action as Rebecca Spencer and her defence held firm and secured a comfortable clean sheet.
Italy topped the Eight Nations ranking at the end of the week, with three wins from three above the likes of USA and Sweden - while England ended up in sixth place, above Denmark and Holland.England:
