England's Women look ahead to Euro 2013 with confidence and excitement
Hope Powell’s England Women’s team were in high spirits at Monday’s Euro 2013 squad announcement – and head to Sweden next month full of confidence.
The Lionesses qualified for the Finals unbeaten, and recently triumphed in the Cyprus Cup - beating Olympic bronze medallists Canada 1-0 in the final.
Casey Stoney described the squad as "the best we've ever had", while Alex Scott expressed her excitement that the tournament is getting such widespread coverage.
She said: "It's a great thing for the BBC to cover all the games, and for people to be able to follow the whole tournament - it's just great."
Karen Carney, Gemma Bonner, Toni Duggan, Jill Scott, Alex Scott, Casey Stoney, Anita Asante and Dunia Susi; as well as FA General Secretary Alex Horne all spoke to FATV after the squad announcement ceremony at the British Museum.
