Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 side fly out to Italy today with a further depleted squad, after another pull-out was confirmed last night (Sunday).
Liverpool defender Martin Kelly dropped out of the Under-21 team to face the Italians in Empoli, after picking up a knock in his side's narrow 1-0 win at Chelsea yesterday.
Kelly's withdrawal from the squad means at least six first choice defenders have been lost to Head Coach Pearce, including Kieran Gibbs, Micah Richards, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker and James Tomkins.
Further losses in midfield and forward areas have already seen an extra five faces drafted in to the squad, who take on Italy at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Tuesday (k.o. 2pm GMT).
