England’s Under-21s strapped on their shooting boots yesterday as they prepared to take on Romania in the first leg of their UEFA European Championship play-off on Friday.
Stuart Pearce’s Young Lions have been training in Norwich ahead of the crucial clash at Carrow Road, and on Tuesday they put goalkeepers Scott Loach, Frank Fielding and Jason Steele through their paces with some clinical shooting practice.
The FATV cameras were there to capture the session where there were a couple of pearlers from the likes of Henri Lansbury and Tom Cleverley, as well as some cracking saves. You can check them all out out by clicking the link above.
Pearce will hope his players can reproduce their training ground scoring prowess on Friday as they look to put themselves in a positive position ahead of the second leg in Romania next Tuesday.
With a place at the 2011 European Championship Finals in Denmark at stake, the game is already proving popular with supporters. There are around 2,000 tickets still available and fans who have not yet purchased tickets who are hoping to attend are advised to contact the Carrow Road ticket office on 0844 826 1902 to book now.
Meanwhile all supporters are strongly advised to arrive in plenty of time to take their seats early to avoid potential congestion and delays at turnstiles. Fans are also reminded they must sit in the seats identified on their tickets.
