Duo receive maiden Under-21 call-up.
Everton’s Dan Gosling and Watford loanee Henri Lansbury have both been called up to the England Under-21 squad for the very first time ahead of this weekend’s important Qualifier with Portugal.
Lansbury, the Arsenal player on loan at Vicarage Road, has been in good form for the Hornets this season and again impressed in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Preston North End. He has worked his way through England's development teams having played for the U16s, U17s and U19s and he featured in every game of this summer's European U19 Championship, where England reached the Final.
He is joined by fellow squad debutant Gosling. The young midfielder has enjoyed a run in the Toffees first-team this season and was also a member of the U19 squad at the recent European Championship.
