Wigan Athletic winger ruled out of Under-21s squad for Finals due to ankle injury
Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman has been ruled out of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship next month with an ankle injury.
McManaman, whose man-of-the-match display helped the Latics to win The FA Cup last weekend
, was named in Stuart Pearce's young Lions squad for the Finals in Israel
However, on Tuesday night he damaged ankle ligaments in the Premier League encounter with Arsenal, and Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed the 22-year-old is likely to be out for three months.
A replacement for McManaman in Pearce's squad for Euro 2013 is yet to be confirmed.
