What is Sign In?

TheFA.com is a process by which you can register with us to become a member of TheFA.com. It will take you less than one minute to Sign Up if you don’t already have an account. If you do already have an account – you will be able to log in with it straight away, and reset your password if you can’t remember it.

Why should I sign up or sign in?

Certain features, competitions or promotions are restricted to signed-in users only. Also, by completing the Sign Up process, we can help access tailored content that is more relevant to your role in football, whether you are a spectator, player, coach, volunteer or referee – or even a mixture.

Do I already have a Sign In account?

It’s possible. If you have already been involved in football as a player, coach, volunteer, or even Wembley Stadium spectator it is likely you have a Sign In account because you already probably have something called a FAN – an FA Number, composing of up to eight digits which is unique to you.

I already have a FAN? Can I sign in with this?

Yes – if you have a FAN and password, you already have a TheFA.com Sign In account and can sign in with this. The first time you Sign In you will be asked to agree to our terms and conditions. If you don’t have a FAN – simply Sign Up using the new form.

I cannot remember if I have FAN?

Try completing Sign In with your email address. If we have it on our records we can find your account that way. If you need to reset your password, click on the Forgotten Password link.

I have several FANS. Which one should I use?

Try signing in with your email address – our system will help you pick out the most appropriate account to use.

I remember my FAN, but I cannot remember my password. What should I do?

Click on the forgotten password link on the Sign Up page, and you will be able to reset your password.

I don’t think I have a FAN. How do I Sign Up?

Simply click on the Sign In link on the black global navigation bar at the very top of TheFA.com.

I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

You can simply reset your password using the Forgotten Password link on the Sign In page. An email will be sent to your email address to prove it is you. Simply click this and you will be given the opportunity to reset your password, if you wish.

I’ve tried signing up and it says that my email is already recognised on the system. What should I do?

This is because you already have a FAN (FA Number) and you already have an account. This is good news – you can simply Sign In straight away. If you can’t remember your password and need to reset it, simply click on the Forgotten Password link.

I have forgotten my password and I no longer have access to the email address registered on it. Can I reset my password?

Unfortunately not. For security reasons, we cannot allow access to accounts unless we have confirmed the email address of the person signing in, by sending them a validation email. If this is the case, please Sign Up with a new account.

I do not have an email address? Can I still Sign Up to TheFA.com?

Unfortunately, all members completing Sign Up to TheFA.com will require an email address with an @ symbol in it.
