England rugby union team at St. George's Park

The England rugby union team have been training at St. George’s Park this week ahead of the inaugural QBE Internationals at Twickenham.

Stuart Lancaster’s side are preparing for games against Fiji onNovember 10, Australia a week later, South Africa on November 24 and New Zealand onDecember 1.

And they have chosen The FA's new national football centre as their training base.

St. George's Park  is primarily the home for all of England's 2 national football teams and a hub for coach education.

But it is also designed to offer integrated facilities suitable for a number of other sports, which is why Lancaster's men are using the complex.

By doing so, St. George's Park can facilitate cross-learning between sports and, as a result, lead the way in enhancing personal development, rehabilitation and fitness for teams, individual players and athletes.

Lancaster's England team kicked off their first training session this afternoon, rather aptly, with a game of football before moving into their game preparations.

Some impressive skills were on display as the likes of Toby Flood and Chris Ashton showed off their ability with the ball at their feet rather than their hands.
