Rachel Brown says that England will not be underestimating their opponents in Chengdu on Monday evening.

One of a number of England heroes against Germany, Rachel Brown says that the Three Lions will not be underestimating their final Group A opponents when they take to the field in Chengdu on Monday.

Despite losing their opening game 11-0 to Germany, the Argentineans looked a renewed force against Japan and were unfortunate not to earn a battling draw, eventually losing to a stoppage time goal, and Brown is positive they will not be taken lightly.

"We certainly will not underestimate Argentina in any department," Brown told TheFA.com. "They have qualified for the World Cup and no one does that without being a good team.

"We're preparing exactly the same as we have done for Germany and for Japan. We'll know every single one of their players, we'll know their set pieces; their strengths and weaknesses; how we can combat them and how we can exploit them.

"Once we get on the pitch it will be a professional job, and hopefully we'll get the right outcome provided we approach it as we have done the other games."

Brown concedes that it would be a huge disappointment to miss out on a place in the last eight, particularly given the tremendous effort the players have given in preparation and in the matches with Japan and Germany.

"It would be so disappointing to go out on Monday. I think we all realise how close it is, but also how far away it could be. I think we were unlucky in the Japan game to concede two goals from set pieces, then we did really well against Germany - so for this game we have to make sure we get the right result.

"Our first priority has always been to get out of the group. We're really looking forward to the game against Argentina and hopefully we'll put our mark on this competition."

Brown made an important save in the closing moments of the game with Germany to deny Kerstin Garefrekes, but typically the Everton goalkeeper was humble when asked about the stop.

"I was just desperate to keep a clean sheet," Brown explained. "We know that Germany never give up and they were a constant attacking threat right to the very end.

"I just got my positioning right and stuck my foot out basically - it wasn't anything spectacular. The game required every single one of us to concentrate for every second of the 93 minutes we played, and the fact that we did that is what got us the result in the end."
