Nuremberg's Frankenstadion will welcome England in its second of five World Cup games.
When England meet Trinidad & Tobago in Nuremberg, it'll be 41 year's since their last and only previous encounter in the city.
That match, a 1-0 win, was in the stadium's previous guise as the 50,000 capacity Municipal Stadium, which opened in 1928 and then renovated in 1961 following 1 FC Nuremberg's eighth German championship.
The stadium, which is one of three World Cup venues to feature an athletics track (Berlin and Stuttgart are the others), has since undergone a number of other changes. 1987 and 1991 saw construction work and a name change before the Frankenstadion headed for more alterations in time for the World Cup.
The playing area has been lowered and additional seating installed while the area beneath the main stand has been transformed into a 300 square metre Mixed Zone.
Eco-friendly measures were also introduced including a rainwater collection cistern capable of supplying the stadium's entire sprinkling and watering needs.
Worked finished in April 2005 and the new Frankenstadion hosted three matches at the FIFA Confederations Cup 2005, including the Germany v Brazil Semi-Final.
