Chelsea defender John Terry has made it into the World Cup squad of the tournament, representing England for his powerful and effective defensive displays in Germany.

Terry is England's sole representative in the the 23-man squad of players, chosen by FIFA's technical study group, which includes seven players from Italy and four from the other finalist France.

Terry played every minute of England's World Cup campaign, during which only two goals were conceded in five matches.

Only one Brazilian makes it into the all-star squad, Bayern Munich midfielder Ze Roberto, while the hosts Germany have four players.
