David Beckham has told England's rivals that the best is still to come in this World Cup.
The Three Lions skipper put in a wonderful pass for Peter Crouch to score the first in England's 2-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago.
Plucky Trinidad & Tobago put up a brave performance for 83 minutes until the Liverpool striker broke the deadlock.
Steven Gerrard rounded off the win with fantastic strike to put them top of the group and Beckham predicts they will shine as the tournament goes on.
He said: "It would be fair to say that you have not seen the best of us yet, but we have got ourselves in a good position to qualify [as group winners].
"We know we can play better and there is better to come and we have to show people that."
Beckham paid tribute to the thousands of fans who packed into the stadium in Nuremberg to cheer them on to victory.
He added: "These fans believe we can do it and they are the ones who deserve the goals and the wins. The two victories are for them because they never stop cheering us on."
