Arsenal and Fulham, the powerhouses in Women's Football, will go head-to-head in the opener to the Women's Football season in just two weeks.
Arsenal, the league champions, will meet Fulham, The FA Cup holders, in The FA Women's Community Shield in partnership with Nationwide at Leyton Orient FC on Thursday 8th August, kick-off 7.35pm.
It's set to be a great showpiece of the Women's game with both teams desperate to get their hands on the first silverware of the season. The sides have met twice since Fulham turned professional two seasons ago, with Arsenal winning The FA Cup Final in May 2001 and Fulham beating The Gunners in last season's FA Nationwide Premier League Cup semi-final 3-2 after extra time.
The teams have met only in cup competitions since Fulham went full-time, but this season both sides will compete in the Women's top flight for the first time - The FA Nationwide Women's Premier League - National Division.
Tickets are on sale now for the game, priced at £3 for adults and £1 for children. The Football Association is also pleased to offer a special family ticket for £5 - which includes entry for up to two adults and three children.
