With just one month to go to the 2008 Final, Ian Holloway, Nottingham City Council's Sports Development Officer yesterday revealed a raft of football themed activity for The FA Women's Cup Final weekend.

Events will take place across the city for the May Bank Holiday weekend which will entertain local families, and those players and supporters who travel from across the country to support the showpiece game in the women's football calendar.

This year there will also be two football tournaments on the Sunday, with Experience Nottingham helping to source special hotel rates to encourage players to stay in the city and attend the Cup Final on Monday 5 May.

With 10,000 tickets for the final already sold, The FA, Nottingham Forest FC, Nottingham City Council, E.ON, EMDA and Nottinghamshire FA in particular are working together to try and beat last year's record crowd, which shattered the previous best of 13,824 in 2001.
