Arsenal captain Faye White believes that The FA Women's Cup Final is a day of celebration for everyone involved in Women's football, and that Nottingham Forest's City Ground is the perfect place to host it.

White was an unused substitute a year ago as Arsenal defeated Charlton Athletic in The Final at Forest, but having fully recovered from the knee injury that blighted last season she is determined to play in part in a huge occasion.

Despite not getting on the pitch in last season's Final, White was moved by the size of the crowd and the festival atmosphere that surrounded the big match - and she hopes for more of the same this year.

White told TheFA.com: "The fact that so many girls' teams book tickets for this game before they even know who is playing goes to show what it means to the game throughout the country.

"That's how special it is, it's not just about the teams involved it's The FA Women's Cup and it's a whole day for Women's football to celebrate.

"Hopefully I'll be playing and not just watching this time!

"I think being in Nottingham is right as it makes it a day for Women's Football, and it's held in a stadium that makes it easy for the most amount of people to come and be part of it.

"The FA and the Council did a fantastic job in getting the crowd to the ground last year and if it gets that response again it's certainly the right place to play The Final. The more people that come the better, so I'm all for it."
