Pompey are flying high at third in the Southern Division of The FA Nationwide Women’s Premier League, but ninth-placed Saints are the division’s form team with five successive victories ahead of the big Cup tie.

In the round which sees the Premier League’s Southern and Northern Division clubs entering The FA Cup, there will also be a keenly fought contest between midland rivals Wolves and Coventry City - both of the Northern Division.

The competition could be even more intense when East Midland neighbours Nottingham Forest and Leicester City, currently slugging it out at the top of the Midland Combination, meet at Forest.

There’s an interesting all-London battle in store at promotion chasing South East Combination club West Ham, who entertain a Crystal Palace side that last season beat the Hammers to promotion from the Combination to the Southern Division.

It will be a similar situation when Newcastle of the Northern Combination visit Blackburn Rovers, the team who last season won that Combination to step up to the Premier League’s Northern Division.

South West Combination leaders Reading Royals, who just missed out on promotion last season, will get the chance to test their Premier League credentials when they entertain Southern Division outfit Brighton.
