FA Women's Cup nears kick-off

A record number of 205 teams will contest this season's FA Women's Cup, in partnership with Nationwide. The First Qualifying and Second Qualifying Rounds will take place in September, with 112 teams involved on opening day.
The draw was made for the qualifying rounds at The FA's headquarters, Soho Square, this morning by the Chairman of The FA Women's Football Committee Ray Kiddell.
These teams will be hoping to make it through to the First Round Proper, which will be held on Sunday 26th October.
The teams from the women's top flight - The FA Nationwide Premier League National Division - will enter in the Fourth Round, to be played on Sunday January 4th 2004.
The Final will once again be televised live on BBC television on Bank Holiday Monday May 3rd.
