While Lincoln presently sit at the top of the Women's Premier League Northern Division table, Charlton currently lie second in the National Division, on goal difference only, to Arsenal.

The Lady Imps are looking forward to locking horns with a host of England stars, such as Eniola Aluko and ex-Imp Katie Holtham. Although this will probably be the Lady Imps' stiffest test in the history of the club, City Manager Rod Wilson remains upbeat.

"This will be a massive task for my players," admitted Wilson. "But it's not beyond us to pull this off. I have every confidence that if we approach this game in the correct manner and play as well as we can, we are capable of upsetting the odds and getting a result".

Following Kirsty Richardson's neck injury and evacuation from the Collingham pitch on Sunday afternoon, sustained in City's Premier League Cup win against Liverpool, Kirsty remains immobilized in Lincoln County hospital.

She has movement in her legs and arms but is still suffering quite a lot of pain. She is undergoing tests and everyone at Lincoln City Ladies FC wishes Kirsty and her family well, and looks forward to a swift recovery from her injury.
