Toni Duggan’s extra-time goal secured Everton place in the FA Tesco Premier League Cup final after seeing off Watford.
England midfielder Jill Scott gave Everton the lead on 23 minutes after corner by left-winger Michelle Evans had been only half cleared and Scott fired home.
But Watford hit back in determined fashion and drew level when midfielder Emma Beckett forced the ball home in a 65th-minute goalmouth scramble.
Everton could have wrapped up victory four minutes into the second half of extra time but England left-back Rachel Unitt missed a penalty.
But it was left to Duggan to win the game 2-1 two minutes from the end of extra time with a great solo effort to set up a date with Arsenal.
The defending cup holders made slightly easier work in their semi-final with their second 4-0 win over Liverpool this season.
Wales captain Jayne Ludlow gave the Gunners an eighth-minute lead, then three minutes before half-time England striker Lianne Sanderson doubled the advantage with her 21st goal of the season.
England winger Rachel Yankey added the third goal in the 68th minute and Republic of Ireland defender Yvonne Tracey completed the scoring six minutes from time.
The results set up a repeat of the 1999 League Cup Final, which Arsenal won 3-1
