Current Women's Premier League Champions and FA Women's Cup holders, Arsenal, have bolstered their squad with four new faces, in the form of Laura Bassett, Niamh Fahey, Natalie Ross and Dannii Bird.

England international Bassett, has joined from Birmingham City after an eight-year spell with the Blues. The 25-year-old will help strengthen the defence but can also play in midfield.

Scottish international Natalie Ross joins the Gunners from Hibernian LFC, following team-mate Kim Little who joined towards the end of last season. At just 19-years old Ross is a composed and versatile midfielder. She will be combining her football with studying at the Arsenal Academy.

Fahey joins Arsenal from Galway where she played for Salthill Devon in Ireland. The 20-year-old central defender is a regular starter for the Irish national team and will add height and strength to the team.

Dannii Bird has followed Bassett from Birmingham City and the winger played in Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Everton in The FA Women's Community Shield at Moss Rose.

Arsenal's first League match of the new campaign sees them entertain Blackburn Rovers LFC on Sunday.
