Doncaster Rovers Belles have announced that England U19 international defenders Jayne Eadie and Chelsea Weston have both joined the club.

Jayne and Chelsea arrive from Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City respectively, and become the Rovers Belles fifth and sixth summer signings following on from the capture of Rachel Williams, Suzanne Davies, Tanya Rich and Sarah Dickens.

Eighteen-year-old Chelsea and 19-year-old Jayne can both play anywhere across the back four and will bring more international experience to the Doncaster side next season.

Jayne joined Blackburn from Everton and quickly went on to establish herself as a regular in their first team over the last two seasons.

She is currently in her third year with the England U19s after progressing from the U17s.

Both players are now part of the England U19 setup after moving up from the U17s and both were part of the U19 squad that reached the Final of the UEFA European Women's U19s Championships last summer.

Rovers Belles Manager John Buckley added 'It was no secret that we needed to strengthen in defensive areas, as we were short on numbers in that area last season. I believe we have now signed two of the most talented young defenders in the country in Jayne and Chelsea. We see both of these signings as a major coup for the club."

Both Jayne and Chelsea will join up with the rest of the squad for pre season training in early July.
