The club is holding a Volunteers Open Evening at Leeds Metropolitan University's Headingley Campus, at 7pm on Tuesday 17 June, for anyone who thinks that they may be able to help.

We are looking for volunteers with time to spare to help in the following areas: matchday help; marketing and fundraising; administration and community activities.

We also need people with previous experience to act as Commercial Manager, graphic designer and programme editor.

"We have just had our most successful seasons ever on the pitch," said Chairperson Mel Vauvelle-Don, "and now we need to ensure the club further develops both on and off the pitch. We need to increase our volunteer support team which plays a big part in the successful running of the club.

"Without a dedicated group of volunteers it would be impossible to run the club, as we are totally self funding and have to rely upon sponsorship, donations, partnerships and fundraising to keep the club going. We want to ensure that Leeds United Ladies compete for trophies every year.

"We would also be keen to talk to anyone who has experience in fundraising" continued Mel. "Next season will be our 20th anniversary and we are hoping to create a new fundraising group within the club to help us celebrate during the season.

"We are not only interested in people with a background in football but people who can carry out a wide range of activities during the week and at home games.

Potential volunteers are asked to email club@leedsunitedladies.com if they would like to attend.
