Arsenal's UEFA Cup dream is a step closer as they eased into the semi finals with acomprehensive 9-1 victory over Icelandic Champions Breidablik.
They will face Danish side Brondby, whom they have already beaten during the group stages, in the last four with the second leg being played at Boreham Wood.
With the shock news that both German sides have been knocked out, the other semi final will be played between Kolbotn IL (Norway) and former winners Umea IK (Sweden).
Gunners manager Vic Akers took the decision to start the match with an unchanged side, with Ciara Grant in the centre of defence and Mary Phillip continuing in the left back role.
Julie Fleeting turned sharply before drilling a low shot into the net to give Arsenal the lead on the night.

In the 25th minute a moment of magic from Kelly Smith doubled the lead. The star striker picked the ball up just inside the Breidablik half, cruised past three challenges before crashing an unstoppable left foot shot into the top corner.
As the second half began, Arsenal picked up the pace once again and sought more goals. Yankey was in irresistible form down the left.
Arsenal created and passed up countless opportunities before a goal from the Icelandic side. A harmless looking free kick from near the touchline by Edda Gardarsdottir was dropped by Emma Byrne, under little pressure, and Laufey Bjornsdottir was on hand to prod the loose ball into the back of
net.
Arsenal were quickly back in the groove but despite more heroics from Helgadottir in the Breidablik goal, Arsenal wrapped up in the win with two more goals in the the last five minutes.
First Jayne Ludlow clipped a pass over the defence into the path of Carney who sprang the offside trap and raced through on goal to plant a neat
left foot shot into the far corner.
Arsenal completed the victory fittingly with a goal from Rachel Yankey. A precise through ball from Carney released the Arsenal winger on goal and she slotted the ball in off the far post.
