Hello everybody, I hope you are all well. It has been a good, and busy, couple of weeks for me and my team-mates at Charlton. Two weeks ago we reached the quarter finals of The FA Cup beating West Ham and last weekend we beat Birmingham 3-2 in the Premier League. I managed to score in both games and I am playing well at the moment.

It was a tough game against the Blues on Sunday as we had to come from behind twice so to win it was fantastic because we needed the three points. They are a great side and we knew it was going to be hard. I even had nerves before the game, but we went out there and performed.

And it was made a much better result as Arsenal could only draw with Everton. We then played Fulham on Wednesday and won 4-0. It was nice to see the old faces at my former club but we dominated the game and deserved the three points. Fulham now have a young side that will develop but they are safe this season which is great. They will only get better. It was a tough decision for me to make back in the summer to leave Fulham but the way this season has gone so far the move to Charlton has been vindicated.

We are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier League and eight points ahead of Arsenal so they have got to chase us now. All we can do is win our last two games and then wait and see. If Arsenal win their games in hand they will win the league but we still have to play them so it will be an exciting end to the season.

This weekend we play our Women's FA Cup Sixth Round tie against Sunderland. I don’t know too much about them but they were a good side when they were in the Premier League and now they are leading the Northern Division. We will not take them for granted because, as I have said before, it is The FA Cup and anything can happen but we really want to progress in the competition.

It is a busy week for me next week as I am meeting up with the England camp straight after my game on Sunday. We are playing Italy next Thursday in a friendly at the National Hockey Stadium in Milton Keynes. Hopefully we can get a result against the Italians, who are also in the Women’s Euro 2005, and gain revenge for the defeat against them in 2003.

I know these games are called friendlies but we want to go out there and gain confidence from the games, so they are important. I am in good scoring form for Charlton at the moment, so I am hoping to carry that into my international games.

I haven’t scored for England since we played against Holland in the World Cup qualifiers back in March 2002, which is a long time ago so I think I am due one for England! I would love to score another goal for my country. I am feeling quite confident at the moment and my shooting is getting better, so you never know!

I will speak to you all soon.
