It was a scrappy game, as they are fighting to stay up, and we are fighting to get to the top of the table. But it was nice to win.

Despite the Belles being down near the bottom of the table, they are still one of the most famous names in the women’s game, so it is always tough to play against them.

Nobody wants to be relegated and they have been in the top league for years, so they obviously want to stay there and they really battled hard.

I think it is a shame that they are struggling, because at one stage they were a great side. But they have lost most of their players and they could be going down. That would not only be a shame for them but it would be a shame for the league as well.

Arsenal, though, are still the team to beat and are breathing down our necks. They won 7-0 at the weekend, with Kelly Smith getting her first goal for the Gunners, and they are flying.

We are due to play them in March and it will be a real six pointer, a massive game but isn’t it always against Arsenal?!

I do see them as favourites for the title but they still have to play the big teams like Birmingham and us, so it’s not going to be easy for them. We will just have to wait and see but I think it is going to be another nail-biting end to the season.

Switching to England, the Women’s Euro 2005 draw took place last week and we are in a group with Denmark, Finland and Sweden.

We played Denmark in a friendly recently and beat them, Sweden are a very good side and will be very tough but I don’t know too much about Finland. I think it is a brilliant draw to be honest, because we have avoided the Germans and I am confident that we can get through to the knock-out stages.

I think we should be confident of getting past the group stage, because we are looking good at the moment and hopefully we will do well. I can’t wait for the first game on 5th June at the City of Manchester Stadium against Finland. It is going to be brilliant.

It is still over four months away but I think it will come round really quickly. Two years ago we were saying that we have just got friendlies for two years and that has flown by, so it is not long now until the big event and I am really excited.

This weekend, though, it’s back to The FA Cup and we are playing West Ham. I don’t know too much about them but I know it will be a tough game, it’s The FA Cup after all. If there is ever going to be an upset, it will be in this competition.

We have seen it in the men’s and women’s game and every footballer wants to play in an FA Cup Final. So we are not going to let ourselves down, we just want to go out and play well.

That’s all for now. I will speak to you all soon.
