The Three Lions recorded their first victory in the UEFA European Women's U19 Championships after a brace from Toni Duggan secured a 3-1 win over Scotland.
15-year-old Jordan Nobbs opened the scoring after just four minutes. Jessica Clarke exchanged passes with Brooke Chaplen on the left flank before crossing for Nobbs to head home from close range.
Scotland equalised barely two minutes later through Ruesha Littlejohn and England were made to wait until the fourth minute of added time at the end of the first half before their lead was re-established. Duggan latched on to a loose clearance from Jennifer Beattie and subsequently drilled in a shot from the edge of the box which crept under Scottish 'keeper, Rachel Harrison.
Mo Marley will be pleased that her side continued to create chances throughout and Duggan's second goal of the game ensured their efforts were suitably rewarded.
England now go into their final group game against Sweden on 13 July with every chance of progressing to the semi final.
