England's U19 Women were beaten 2-1 in their opening fixture of the La Manga Tournament yesterday.

After losing Leeds United's Sophie Walton to an early injury, the Italians took a 2-0 half-time lead.

Claire Rafferty pulled a goal back in the 74th minute, but despite bossing the majority of the game, once more a Three Lions side were made to pay for failing to convert their chances into goals.

Next up tomorrow afternoon are Sweden for Mo Marley's side, and then Norway complete England's fixture schedule on Friday.
