England Women's U19s will take on France at Harrogate Town's Wetherby Road ground on Tuesday 30 October.
The U19s, managed by Everton Ladies Head Coach Mo Marley, reached the final of the UEFA European U19 Women’s Championship for the first ever time this July.
The friendly against France is in preparation for qualifying for the 2008 European championship – with Spain, Lithuania and the Faroe Islands in England’s group - as well as being the first game on the long road to the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, to be held in Chile in late 2008.
By finishing runners-up in July to Germany after two goals in the second period of extra time, Marley will be looking at players next month with both short and long term goals in mind.
In July, England beat France 3-1 in the group stages of the European Championship, with Leeds United’s Sophie Bradley on the scoresheet.
Bradley and her fellow Leeds United quartet of Sophie Walton, Jess Clarke, Jade Moore and Gemma Bonner will all be hoping to be involved, giving the Yorkshire public and added incentive to support The Three Lions.
Harrogate Town Chairman Bill Fotherby said: I am delighted we’ve been chosen by The Football Association to stage this International at our Wetherby Road Ground.
"It is not only an honour and a privilege for the club but also for the town of Harrogate too."
Tickets for the match are on general sale from Harrogate Town FC on 01423 883671.
Tickets are priced at: Adults £3; Concessions (Children U16 and OAPs) £1.
School/groups (minimum of 15 people) 50p per person. Booking fees will be £1 per transaction for group ticket forms.
