Mo Marley's side got off to a flying start to their qualfying group in Estonia, with a thumping victory over the host side and a fine hat-trick for Heather Scheuber.

Looking to make up for the disappointment at missing out on the Finals in the summer, the Three Lions travelled to Estonia with the confidence of a strong performance and victory over Sweden and the desire to prove themselves on the international stage.

Scoring three goals inside the first 20 minutes went some way to settling the players into their stride, and despite the defensive inclinations of their opponents England were able to further capitalise on their superiority with five more goals.

Danielle Buet, Ellen White, Rebecca Hall all chipped in while Ashlee Hincks came off the bench to score a delightful goal. Birmingham City's Heather Scheuber took the match ball though after scoring a first half hat-trick to truly set England on their way.

After the game Mo Marley spoke to TheFA.com and revealed just how pleased she was with the performance.

She said: "It was fantastic, to score eight goals at any level of international football is amazing. They played very well obviously and they showed the right attitude to take the game to Estonia.

"To an extent the opposition sat very deep and tried to prevent us from playing football, but the girls were patient and the goals came mainly because of our movement and passing. It was great to see.

"The spirit is fantastic and I think ever since the Sweden game there has been a growing confidence amongst the players. It's important that we continue to build on that.

"It's always a test for players to play tournament football with the closeness of games the lack of time to recover, but that's part and parcel of international football and the girls are getting good experience of that now.

"We're expecting a tough test when we play Greece on Thursday but hopefully we'll continue in this form and prove just how well we can play."
