The Three Lions' UEFA European Women's U19 Championship hopes were ended on Sunday afternoon as Sweden came from behind to earn a point.
Toni Duggan gave Mo Marley's side a tenth minute lead as they sought the win that would take them through to the Semi-Final.
A long ball out of the Swedish defence appeared innocuous enough, but Sweden captain Petronella Ekroth failed to deal with it and Duggan pounced, firing low under goalkeeper Nina Fellbrant.
However, Sweden's responded and their pressure told just after the hour when Asslani was brought down by Gilly Flaherty following a jinking run.
Louise Fors made the headlines dispatching the 63rd minute penalty to book the Swedes a place in the last four but she was sent off shortly after for a second bookable offence after a foul on Jess Clarke.
Elsewhere in Group B, Germany demolished Scotland 7-0 to finish in first place and they'll now meet Norway for a place in the Final, while Sweden take on Italy.
