UEFA 2009 European Championship Qualifier
Spain v England
Kick-Off TBC, Thursday 2 October
Estadio Ruta de la Plata, Zamora

Hope Powell has named a squad of 20 players for the decisive double-header in Group One, as England head to Prague and Zamora for their final two games in their bid to qualify for Euro 2009.

Chelsea's 19-year-old midfielder Danielle Buet has been included for the first time, and admitted her delight at making it into the Senior squad.

Buet told TheFA.com: "I was a bit shocked to be honest, but I'm really over the moon about it.

"I think the training camps have really helped, and I was just away with the Under-23s for the Nordic Tournament - so that could be part of it. I can't wait for the opportunity as it's going to be an incredible experience for me and I'm sure I will learn a lot.

"It will be a great trip to be part of as the girls are so close to the Euros and they have been working extremely hard to get there.

"It means everything to play for England - who doesn't want to play for their country? Ever since I was little it's something I have wanted so much.

"I've played against both teams at U19 level and they are tough teams, so both games are going to be difficult. But I think the girls will do really well."

With the European Championship being held in Finland next August, just two games stand between Hope Powell's side and qualification.

Unbeaten so far in their qualifying group and winning five out of six games, England face group rivals Spain and Czech Republic to determine the final standings.

England are level on points with Spain, but having beaten them at Shrewsbury last year hold the better head-to-head. The Czechs are two points back and need a big win to have any hopes of topping group one.

Powell's side travel first to Prague on Sunday 28 September before heading to Zamora in Spain for their final match - while it could become complicated for England it remains simple; avoid defeat in both games and they will be assured of a place with Europe's elite next year.

Anything less could mean that England enter into a play-off to reach the tournament along with the other runners-up that could include the likes of Italy, France and Russia.
