England Women's Head Coach Hope Powell says she will be asking for the same effort from her players against Northern Ireland as she would when they play the best sides in the world.
Having competed in recent years with the likes of Germany, France and most recently defeating Norway, England take on Northern Ireland seeking their fourth successive Euro 2009 qualification victory.
But Powell admits that she will expect the absolute effort from her players when they take to the field at Mourneview Park in Lurgan on Thursday evening.
Powell said: "On Thursday I'll be demanding the same application we show against the best teams in the world."
"We'll be taking the positives from the performance and result against Norway into our qualifiers, but we can't treat Thursday as a foregone conclusion.
"Being totally focused in every game we play is vitally important, especially with the rising expectation levels on us after our results over the last couple of years."
