Two women who have followed the England team over land and sea have written 'Three Lions on their Shirt', an inspirational tale of their journey, revealing how the players' passion and determination to succeed led them to qualify for their first World Cup in 12 years.
The book details:
- the nerve wracking year-long qualification campaign they had to endure in their bid to reach the 2007 World Cup.
- provides an exclusive look into the lives of the top players and the difficulties they faced just to be allowed to play the beautiful game.

- Highlights the players’ much deserved individual achievements: from Rachel Yankey’s MBE to BBC pundit Sue Smith’s bid to break back into the squad.
The authors are Catherine Etoe and Natalia Sollohub. Catherine has spent the last five years covering the women’s game, contributing to a range of media from The Guardian to the Press Association.
Natalia is a photographic contributor to a variety of publications, including Fair Game magazine, while also working as a television highlights editor for the men’s English Premier League.
