The draw for the FIFA Women’s World Cup China 2007 will take place in Wuhan, one of the five venues chosen for the tournament, on 22 April.

The procedure for the draw will be confirmed at a later date because, among other factors, it depends on the FIFA Women’s World Ranking for March 2007 and the remaining play-off matches. Nevertheless, the following has already been decided:

- The hosts, China, will occupy position 1 in Group D (D1);
- The reigning world champions, Germany, will occupy position A1;
- The FIFA Women’s World Ranking for March 2007 will determine positions B1 and C1;
- No group may contain more than one team from a particular confederation, except UEFA (maximum two teams in the same group).

The media accreditation process for the FIFA Women's World Cup China 2007 Draw (Wuhan, 22 April 2007) and the FIFA Women’s World Stars v. China match (Wuhan, 21 April 2007) is now open and available via a registration form available at FIFA.com with a 9 March 2007 deadline.

All applications are subject to confirmation. Successful applicants will be notified and provided with further information in due course, and all international applicants are responsible for their own visas.
