England play their final World Cup Qualifying game in Rennes on 30 September and The FA is currently in talks with the French Football Federation regarding an allocation of tickets for travelling fans.
For those fans looking to combine a weekend of culture with cheering on Hope Powell's side as they seek to earn the point that would take them to the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup Finals, here are some useful tips.
Travel information:
By sea: Portsmouth to St Malo wil currently cost £49 for a return journey. Rennes is approximately 90 minutes by drive from St Malo.
By Air: You can fly direct from Southampton to Rennes with Flybe, although currently there are no return flights until Monday 2 October. Flights start as cheaply as £28.
The alternatives are connection flights through Charles De Gaulle airport to Rennes or supporters could fly to Charles De Gaulle and then take advantage of the regular TGV services (rail) to Rennes.
Road & Rail: Fans can take the Eurostar from London Waterloo to Gare du Nord in Paris, and then continue their journey via TGV again.
Alternatively, you can drive to Dover and use the Channel Tunnel and make your way to Rennes with a tour through the French countryside.
Hotels: There are a range of hotels in and around the picturesque town centre, priced between €47 and €64 for a double room.
Stadium: The Stade de la Route de Lorient was opened in 1912 and is located in west-central Rennes. The stadium is currently the home of Stade Rennais, and its capacity is 31,127.
Players at the club familiar to English supporters are former Chelsea and Birmingham City defender Mario Melchiot, former Spurs full-back Erik Edman and former Liverpool midfielder Bruno Cheyrou.
