Merseyside-based Sue, who now plays for Leeds United, is looking forward to returning to her old club when England take on the ‘auld-enemy’ as part of their preparations for Women's Euro 2005.

The match, which will be shown live of Sky Sports, is a crucial part of England’s run up to Women's Euro 2005, which kicks off in the North West of England on 5 June.

Sue said: "It is fantastic that England are playing at Prenton Park and I’m hoping to get a chance to play in front of a big Prenton Park crowd. I really enjoyed playing for Tranmere and it is great to be coming back here with the England team."

Ryan Taylor, a former England youth player, added: "It is great that the England women’s team is coming to Prenton Park and I hope that Tranmere Rovers’ fans will turn out in force to support them."

Annabelle Pryce, Tranmere Rovers’ ladies, and England U17s player commented: "This is a big year for women’s football and the England women’s team.

"The 2005 UEFA European Women’s Championship is a massive event for the North West and fans will get a chance to see a sneak preview of what’s to come when England play Scotland at Prenton Park.
