We trained all week at Blackburn’s Brockhall Academy training ground and it went very well. The squad is looking well and by next year we should be flying. There was a massive squad up there and it seems to be getting younger and younger. It is good to get the youngsters involved for experience although I am starting to feel very old and it seems like I have been around for ages!

The venues and dates have now been set for the Euros here next year it has made things more exciting. We are playing a couple of games at Blackburns Ewood Park and we went down there for a photo shoot so it was nice to see where we will be playing.

Our opening game, though, will be at the new City of Manchester Stadium on 5 June and I can’t wait. When I told my brothers they were surprised and said they would love to play there so it is going to be very exciting. It seems more real now because we have something to aim for now, a date for which we have to be ready and be in the best physical condition we can.

Back to the domestic action now and last weekend we managed to win 1-0 at Liverpool to stay top of the league. We should have won by a lot more but at the moment the luck isn’t with us when it comes to scoring goals. I had a shot saved off the line but at least I managed to hit the target!

It is strange because we face Liverpool once again this weekend, but this time in The FA Nationwide Premier League Cup semi-final. It’s the first time I have faced this scenario but hopefully we will go out this weekend and do better than we did last weekend and put some goals away. But they will be well up for this game so it will be tough. The other semi-final sees Arsenal take on Birmingham and you just can’t predict anything this season so I am not sure who will win that one.

I am really looking forward to the game this weekend and would love to get into my first final for my new club Charlton. It’s ironic because I was on the losing side last year for my old club Fulham against Charlton but I am now a Charlton girl now so I want to help them regain the cup. It will be nice to be at a new club and taste some success.

That’s it for now and I will speak to you all soon.
