Tiverton Town believe they have two secret weapons to release on Northampton Town on Tuesday night, when their youth team play in what has been touted as the biggest game in the three-year history of the club.
The match against Northampton Town in the Second Round of The FA Youth Cup will feature two up-and-coming hotshots, who have already played in the first team.
Both Shaun Szabor, 18, and Glen Gould, 17 have stretched their legs with the seniors in the Southern League Premier Division this season and that experience could stand them in good stead against the League One club.
"We've got some great young players," said club spokesman Chris Davey.
"Both Shaun and Glen have played in our first team proper this season and we are expecting good things from them."
Tiverton have had a tough route to get this far in the competition and they had to win at Bath City in the Third Round Qualifying, where they ran out 3-0 victors and then they needed penalties to get past Yeovil Town in the First Round Proper at the start of the month.
The tie is Tiverton's third away from home in succession, which prompted Davey to voice his frustrations, but with the reward of hosting Reading in the Third Round should they progress, hopes are high at the Devon club.
"It's disappointing to be playing away again and we are going into the match as underdogs," conceded Davey.
"I think it will bit a tight game, but our players will put every bit of effort in to it. It would be unbelievable if Reading could come here in the Third Round and we could play a Premier League team."
