Chelsea and Manchester City both face tricky away ties on an intriguing night of FA Youth Cup quarter-final action on Tuesday.

Chelsea head north to take on Port Vale while City travel to Plymouth Argyle.

The Vale youngsters reached the quarter-finals for the first time in the club's history after dumping out a talented Tottenham side in front of over 2,000 fans at Vale Park in the previous round.

And youth team boss Andy Porter expects even more to turn out for Tuesday's game. "I think they'll have to open another stand for that game," he said.

Chelsea could be there for the taking - The Blues are struggling in the southern Premier Academy and are looking for their first Youth Cup triumph since 1961. They edged past Stevenage in the Third Round - click here to see highlights of that game.

Meanwhile, Argyle's youth team are looking to add Manchester City to their list of Premier Academy scalps. The young Pilgrims have already beaten Birmingham, Portsmouth and Coventry in this year's competition.

Argyle have not reached this stage of the competition in more than 50 years, with their previous best run eventually being ended by Manchester United's 'Busby Babes'.

Young striker Jarred Stevens has been the hero of the current team's cup run. He scored a hat-trick against Birmingham and will have to be on form again if they are to beat a free-scoring City team.

City have netted ten times already in their three Youth Cup games and sit on top of the northern Premier Academy league table. They beat Bristol City 4-2 in the last round - click here to see highlights of that game.
