Three-time FA Youth Cup winners West Ham United will not have the chance to add to their trophy haul in the competition this season after they were beaten 2-0 at home to Bolton in the third round.

Temitope Obadeyi and Sam Sheridan scored the goals that mean Bolton will now host Port Vale in the next round.

Obadeyi netted the first on 13 minutes when he converted German youth international Kevin Wolze's inswinging free-kick. And he almost added another, only for Marek Stech to pull off a great save.

Freddie Sears had a golden opportunity to grab an equaliser for West Ham midway through the second-half, but Bolton keeper Tom Brocklehurst stood tall to make a superb block.

And it proved vital for Bolton as Sheridan then added the second soon afterwards to seal the victory.
